All children can benefit from our award winning  communication groups. They are designed to help develop confident, successful communicators. Spoken language skills are the basis for most educational tasks so the better the speech, language and communication skills the easier they will find it when they start school.

We use puppets, games, stories and songs to make it as fun as possible. We get great feedback from parents, carers and the children themselves! It's not really like working, as it's tremendous fun working with pre-school children.

We have lots of different groups: Small Talkers. Teeny Talkers. Baby Talkers, Chatter Tots and Stories and Songs. There are also lots of other packages for nurseries and projects for schools that we do.

We are looking for franchisees in many areas of the UK or further afield. No experience or qualification required as full training is given. Business support and back-up is an important part of the package. We also have licenses for speech and language therapists so they can run groups in their areas.

Smart Talkers Pre-School Communication Groups: a glimpse into what we do

I was sorting through some of the photos that Sara from Sara Moseley Photography had taken last year of a group at Horn End Nursery Rugeley. I used some for an exhibition in Birmingham but they are far too good to hide away so I've put a few into a slideshow which introduces what we do at Smart Talkers Pre-school groups






The groups are franchised and we have franchisees, so far, in Cambridge, Singapore and India. Smart Talkers Surrey is just starting her training and we are in talks with someone in New York, Japan and Sussex.


No previous experience is necessary as all training and support is given. As you can see from the slideshow, it's a fantastic privilege to be able to work with pre-schoolers in this way!

Our first ever competition

We want to spread the word about the Smart Talkers Pre-School groups and so we need more people to know about them. We have a prize draw for anyone to enter if they recommend the Smart Talkers Pre-School groups Facebook Page. The winner will receive a Champagne Tea-time Hamper from John Lewis. Smart Talkers Pre-school Groups are a series of groups  to provide a fun way to stimulate children's spoken language development. Devised by qualified, experienced specialist speech & language therapists, these sessions are for all children. www.smarttalkers.org.uk Using signing, games, stories & songs, we work on everything a child needs to be a confident, successful, effective communicator including attention, listening, vocabulary, understanding and expressive language skills. We have different classes available for different age groups:
Small Talkers: especially for 3- 4 year olds to prepare them for school.
Tiny Talkers: for around 2 -3 years
Baby Talk: for around 0m - 2 years
Baby Smart Signers: 0-2 years
Toddler Smart Signers: 2-3 years
Small Talk Smart Signers: 3-4 years
